| Run by a twenty-member board, this non-for-profit organization does its best to attract the participation and support garnered by its New York City and Los Angeles counterparts. Like their sister companies, IFP/Chicago is sponsored by the Writers Guild of America, Fletcher Chicago, and Kodak and they host a myriad of seminars, conferences, and screenings such as the Independent Filmmakers' Conference in the Fall. A $75 membership fee ($50 if you're a student) gets you into many of their screenings and events for free as well as a discounted price to their two-day, high-profile "Independent Filmmakers Conference" every fall.
