Move over Baskin-Robbins, there's a new kid on the block and he's dishing out dessert to a pack of ice cream lovers hungry for something new. Treats offers a healthy alternative to fatty ice creams by serving only 99 percent fat- and cholesterol-free treats, all certified kosher. Now, isn't that special? Choose from more than 60 flavors including creme brulee, rum raisin, coffee cognac, Irish cream, black Russian and caramel fudge eclair. Toppings range from low-fat granola and honey to chocolate covered coffee beans, fruits, nuts and hot syrups. The soft serve may be healthy, but standard candy toppings such as Oreo's, Snickers, gummy bears and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups can make for an indulgent snack.
Check out the "Mess" menu, where you'll find "Julia's Mess"—Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, chocolate dip and bananas with your choice of ice cream flavors—or "Steph's Mess"—M & M's, hot fudge and chocolate sprinkles, also with your choice of flavor. Go ahead, make a mess and you won't even feel guilty about it the next day (OK, maybe you will, but only slightly). Keep an eye on the Treat calendar, found online, which outlines the six daily flavors.
