Filipino-influenced sweets are the main draw here, and they are definitely some of the best (and freshest) in the city. Baked daily, the kitchen whips up beautiful blueberry and apricot rugalach, fat rounds of Hawaiian bread, cake-like donuts (perfect for dunking in one of its coffees), decadent bite-size walnut well pies and baby strawberry tartlets filled with creamy pudding and topped with fresh berries. For those that like to drink their sugar rush, try the strawberry, mango or avocado smoothie (interestingly delicious).

Here's the flip side of Sweet Table: Though sweets are the primary focus, one half of the room has a wall dedicated to showcasing gigantic photos of Asian-inspired salads, noodle dishes and entrees. The "Full Day Menu" includes the likes of Spicy Fried Noodles (with spicy sausage, shrimp and vegetables), arroz caldo (beef or chicken rice porridge) and a mouthwatering doozy called Sizzling Beef and Onions with fried garlic rice. All of the entrees are less than $8, and if you like, the helpful kitchen can attempt to make any entree full-on vegetarian.

There's also a small offering of sandwiches (now we move to the American portion of the menu), salads and side orders (empanadas and warm steamed buns called siapaos are the only two options here). If you find that you like the fare, you could always head up north to Touhy, where there is another, much busier outpost.
