Samah features spicy Middle Eastern fare six nights a week. It doesn’t matter that Samah happens to be a dry lounge (no BYOB): There's enough hookah going around to help you relax after a tough day at the office. Choose from more than 22 flavors of shisha (tobacco) or create your own combo from flavors like mint, mango, peach and vanilla rose.
The interior features rich reds, golds and earth tones with turquoise accents along with cushy couches, each surrounded by exaggerated drapery for comfort and privacy. Plush pillows perfectly placed around a table top provide great floor seating with plenty of room for passing and sharing. Party packages are offered at $10, $15, $20 and $30 per person.
For $10, patrons are presented with "more hookah than they’ll know what to do with," says a Samah server, and a round of drinks. A reasonable $20 will buy a hefty amount of tobacco (mix any two), a round of drinks, an appetizer and dessert. Add an entree and individual dessert for $30. Menu items include beef, rice and vegetable dishes, as well as amazing chicken plates, hummus, tabouleh, vegetarian appetizers and falafel.
On the heartier side, Samah serves up filet mignon, steak kabobs, lamb chops and shrimp and salmon entrees. While Samah seats 90 comfortably, weekends can get very crowded. Don’t forget to wear nice socks: wearing shoes here is a serious no-no. Take note: you must be 18 to enter.
