Tucked in one of Chicago's oldest neighborhoods, Rick's Munchies knows exactly how to serve its Bronzeville community. It does that with a unique and cheap selection of salads, sandwiches, pizzas and sweet treats. You could order one of everything from Rick's menu without ever making a dent in your wallet. Or you could hand over five bucks in exchange for a turkey meatloaf or jerk chicken sandwich.
After a quick look over the menu, you'll quickly realize that carnivores call the shots at Rick's. Even the salads here are paired with unexpected ingredients like sliced hot links, and for an extra $1.99, you can pile on another helping of meat. Vegetarians can seek shelter in the Munchies signature salad or a sauteed veggies pizza.
Rick's also has free wi-fi so you won't have to rush through your pot roast pizza just to get back to the office. And you'll want to take your time once you see the restaurant's list of old-fashioned desserts. It's a flashback to the days of soda-shops with Rick's selection of floats, smoothies, ice cream sundaes and banana splits. If you're already experiencing a premature sugar coma from the whirlwind selection, keep it simple with just a scoop or two of Rick's premium chocolate ice cream or rainbow sherbert.
