Editorial Review of My Place for Tea

Eager to turn people on to something new with each visit, My Place for Tea's affable owner, Enrico, offers suggestions and insight into the endless flavors, origins and blends of tea. The extensive menu details black teas (including flavored and smoky), green teas (non-flavored, flavored and scented), white, oolong and rooibos teas, and large 20-ounce bubble teas in flavors like lychee, jasmine green, coconut, almond and purple yam.

You can pick up a quick teabag to go, or if you've got a precious two to three minutes, wait for a fresh brew and enjoy Dreams of Summer (a mix of green and black teas, pineapple, papaya, strawberry and sunflower blossoms), Almond Moonlights (green tea with almonds and coconut flakes) or Mango Ceylon (a classic black tea with mango). You can also purchase loose tea (50 grams) for $4-$18, depending on the special blend, in the store or online. Many styles of teapots, brewing accessories and rosewood tea boxes adorn the shop's shelves and are available for purchase.

In the summer months, My Place adds ice cream to the menu, keeping in line with the bubble tea flavors. For those looking to learn more about tea's comforts, tastes and health benefits, My Place for Tea presents a weekly tea sampling from 1-3 p.m. on Saturdays.
