I cannot type this review as quickly as I should, or want to. YOU MUST go to this wonderful Italian ice palace. Run, don't walk, to Miko's.
Actually, scratch that last comment, because if you run, you might miss the window that you order your Italian ice through. The only place to sit down is the small green bench that is across Miko's window. The blackboard posted near the window lists Miko's numerous flavors: lemon, lime, strawberry, raspberry, mango, coconut, blueberry-the list goes on and on. To truly enjoy the multitude of flavors available, try combining them. I found bliss with strawberry and raspberry, while Zach, one of the employees and nephew of Miko, recommends coconut-mango.
The ice at Miko's is so good that even the ice-cream man stops by. The rest of the people who stop by the window at Miko's consist of locals, and people who just happen to be in the neighborhood. Zach was telling me that the majority of the people who stop by end up becoming regulars. With Italian ice made from real fruit (indeed, I had quite the time trying to not get the seeds stuck in my teeth) and portions that range from tiny to jumbo, one could clearly see that he was spoke the cold, hard (or pretty creamy, in this case) truth.
