'Maui Wowi' is right. This is one of those rare places that puts a smile on your face just as soon as you walk through the door. From the super-cool, palm tree-decorated sign on the outside to the bright and colorful, Hawaiian-themed inside, it's difficult not to smile, even if you staple your mouth down. After all, it's every poor man (or woman)'s dream to visit the breezy, sunny shores of Maui in Hawaii, and now you can—365 days of the year (excepting holidays, of course). The bamboo-style counter and rattan-made chairs and taple-tops, not to mention the intricately-designed hanging lamps, surfboards and murals, add to the fantasy perfectly, even if the fluorescent lighting doesn't.
The very heavy smoothies competently cover the smoothie spectrum with a variety of flavors and combinations (like strawberry banana, passion papaya and lemon wave); $3.95 for a small, $4.95 for a regular and $6.99 for a tiki (keep your tiki for your next visit and fill it up for the cost of a regular). Coffee ranges from $1.50-$2.50 and is fairly typical; good but not great. Oddly enough, our favorite drink was the hot chocolate—who knew they even drank this heartwarming stuff in always-hot Hawaii?
Top it all off with free wi-fi, friendly service and a uniquely undiscovered quality and you've got a really great Lakeview find here. Enjoy.
