It's hard to say if this taco place really is "the king" of all tacos, especially considering all of this portion of Clark Avenue is lined with Mexican restaurants or grocery stores. But with a flashy name like this, we'll give 'em the benefit of the doubt.
Their Mexican-American menu boasts everything from $4.99 pancake combos (three pancakes, two eggs and choice of bacon or sausage), menudo soup for $5.49 (with tripe served daily) and Mexican dinners like flautas, three crispy rolled tortillas stuffed with your choice of meat, covered with sour cream, guac and lettuce ($7.99). And if you're strapped for cash, just check out the "Eat More Pay Less!" section of the menu, which includes a $5.49 burrito dinner.
Though the menu has a pretty wide selection, making this place stand out from the others, we can't say the same thing about the interior. Clusters of Aztec prints are scattered randomly about. A fish tank that looks like it should be in a Chinese restaurant takes up a good portion of wall space. (Maybe this was previously a Chinese restaurant?) A Spanish television station blares from a corner TV so you can keep up with your telenovela. But perhaps the best part of this restaurant is that it's located right next to a church. Maybe so you can stuff your face and then repent.
