The Streeterville location of this chain pizza restaurant and deli is like a miniaturized version of its Grand Avenue
flagship location. On the walls, you'll find beautiful murals depicting California dreaming—the palm trees of Santa Barbara beach and the blue skies that watch over it (minus the smog). The seating inside is lacking—a few stools for temporary seating—and the outside is barely better, but this is an order and pick-up satellite store, not a sit-down restaurant with waiters and hosts and candelabra. What did you expect? The menu is certainly much less extensive when compared to, say, the very extensive Grand Street site's menu, but the food is no less fantastic.
Pizza is only available by the slice ($3.30-$4), which is handy for those who miss their college days when pizza by the slice was all they ate. (Everybody remembers the freshman 100. Right?) Otherwise, you'll find deli sandwiches, wraps and salads ($6-$7). Nothing flashy, but it gets the job done.
