The best corned beef sandwich ever! An abundance of super thin corned beef piled high, tender and tasty. I take several back to Maryland every time I come home for a visit.

As a vegetarian from europe I always include a visit here when in Chicago. I have not found a better veggie place. If anyone can recomend one I will give it a try. Meanwhile I will look forward to my next visit to Karyn's.
The service has always been very good and the food superb. Like most North American veggie places much of the menu is presented as meat substitute items: who needs that? Lets just have good veggie food. Keep up the good work Karyn.

This resturant is a great place for both lunch or dinner. For those who love Thai dishes, you have to try their three flavor chicken or basil chicken, and for those who love Japanese food, my favorite makis are the tempura sweet potato maki and the philly maki. But of course there are way too many good dishes to recommend so you must go try it for yourselves. Another great thing about Noodle Zone is their sushi buffet. I love sushi, and Noodle Zone has made me come to love it even more! I've been a customer at this resturant ever since I moved into this neighborhood, and i'm planning on trying everything on their menu. I've gained so much weight when I was younger eating fast-food, so after finding a resturant, like noodle zone, with healthy dishes that satisfies my taste bud, i'm for sure going to stick with it. This place is cheap, quick, and friendly which always makes me happy.

The bi bim bop, while not completely traditional, is great. Wonderful, fresh veggies and delicious teriyaki beef.
It is a very small storefront restaurant but has a friendly casual vibe. The menu is not huge but there is something for everyone, from grilled cheese for the kids to the bi bim bop and chicken teriyaki.
I highly recommend them!

i don't think that it's pretentious at all; although i understand how one might draw that conclusion. i was afraid of the same thing - that is until i got in. i then realized that this place is very focused on creating a perfect atmosphere for you to enjoy with your company. being pretentious would work counter to what i believe is this goal.
every person in the bar is treated equally and with great service; everyone has a seat and there could never be more people in the establishment than they could properly service. the music selection and volume along with the lighting, decoration and overall atmosphere seem to have been chosen with great attention to detail and i consider this to be a breath of fresh air.
if the whole waiting thing isn't something you want to do then go during a week night or off-beat hour. this isn't the type of place that does VIP or treats some people differently than others. there are customers who are experiencing violet hour (who have waited their turn in line) and there are those who are waiting for their chance. you can't blame violet hour for taking care of its customers first, no matter how many people want to be customers.
i enjoyed my drinks and food, but really just wanted to comment on what i believe is the real beauty of this establishment: respect and atmosphere.
