Flying Fish Records was sold to Rounder Records, which is another roots-based alternative label, from Cambridge MA.
Formed in 1974 by Bruce Kaplan (d.1993), former president of the University of Chicago's Folklore Society, Flying Fish is an eclectic blues and country blues label. The roster includes James Sapp, Sweet Honey in the Rock, John Caphas, and Phil Wiggins.
