Editorial Review of Cascade Drive-In

Cascade Drive-In may be a throwback in its method (cars driving up to the big screen, listening to the soundtrack via in-car speakers or on the car radio), but all of its movies are first-run. In case you need a reminder as to how these things work, you can't go in the daytime.

This drive-in opens at 7 p.m., and the first film usually starts after 8 p.m. The darkness is needed to render the images on the screen visible, and the activities inside the cars invisible. Drive-ins aren't just more fun than theaters, they're also more affordable: Adult tickets are $7.50, which gets you admission to both of the night's features, and for those who've already done their backseat groping, tickets for children ages 6-11 are $3.50; kids under 6 are free.
