Why to go: A number of restaurants from Wheeling's famed "Restaurant Row" (it's got the most four and five-star restaurants of any suburb in the country) will set up booths for your tasting pleasure.

Additional info: The festival takes place in Park District Field between the Community Recreation Center and Village Hall. The annual 4th of July Parade kicks off at 6PM on Friday evening. Fireworks are at 9:30 p.m. There is a special area at the Wheeling Freedom Fest just for kids featuring games, activities, inflatable rides and special appearances by celebrities.
