Organizer: Evanston Festival Theatre, Inc.
What to expect: Crafts, food vendors, live music and a Native American theme.
Why to go: The energy. This is not just any old street fair, but rather a celebration of art and music that enlivens the streets of Evanston. There's a reason it's award-winning.
Additional info: The festival boasts 350 artists, 150 local businesses, and over 30 food vendors. Two stages feature music throughout both days with an emphasis on jazz. There's plenty of attractions for families, with street performers, theatre shows and even the occasional animal appearance.
