Pizzeria Due caters to the true Chicagoan with its deep dish-style pies. The crew here doesn't mess around when it comes to the fixin's, either. Especially with the house favorite or numero uno, packed with sausage, pepperoni, fresh green peppers, mushrooms, onions and extra cheese. Other popular choices include the Spinoccoli (spinach, fresh broccoli, various cheeses, garlic and tomato), barbecue chicken and the four cheese and pesto. Prices vary depending on size (read: appetite).

If you stop in before 3 p.m. you can take advantage of the restaurant's "express lunch" special. For just $6.75 you get an individual pizza and your choice of soup or salad. Pizzera Due also offers a list of appetizers including garlic bread, veggie dip, spicy buffalo wings and a little something called Florence's soup (it's basically minestrone with cheese). You'll also find a small selection of salads, sandwiches and pastas.

If you can manage to save a little room, check out the restaurant's deep dish-inspired dessert menu. The signature ice cream sundae is served in a deep dish pan over a giant chocolate chip cookie and also comes "mega-sized," just in case you feel like sharing.

Due is owned by the same parent corporation as the national Unos franchise and the original Pizzeria Uno, a block away (you can see it looking down Wabash).
