So, you're a real game player. You have a Nintendo Wii, a Sony PlayStation and spend at least $25 a month downloading new games to your phone. Well, take your habit to Manhattan's, the bar where games rule.
The upstairs game room of this financial district dive bar makes it a worthwhile haunt for men and the game-playing boys inside them. There are a few chairs where you can take a load off, but mostly it is like the recreation room your mother or wife would never let you have. The requisite foosball table and dartboard flank the corners. In between there is an old school Pac Man game, Boxer, Bags and Bowling. And even an old juke box. This place isn't just for fun, either; beat the high score at Bags and get a drink on the house.
There is a ton to choose from for a free drink. An extensive liquor display lines the bar and includes exotic vodka, scotch and whiskey. Flat-screen TVs are mounted on the front of the dimly-lit bar, ensuring that patrons at one of the five tables can see the games, too.
For now the bar only serves a few appetizers for hungry competitors, but the plan is to upgrade the kitchen to include burgers and sandwiches instead of only fried cheese and microwave pizza. Monday is the night to hit up Manhattan's with a big appetite; hot dogs are only $1 and you can scarf them down with $2 Miller cans. The bar offers different drink specials each day of the week.
