Those searching for the perfect after-work dive bar may finally have one. Just find a seat on one of DeVille's dark olive-green leather booths and relax.
Ordering one of Bar DeVille's cocktails is a good start while awaiting your party's arrival. The cocktail menu of more than a dozen specialty drinks offers something to fit anybody's given mood. Or just go for the house cocktail of Rittenhouse Rye, Campari and lemon and grapefruit juice with egg white and Peychaud’s bitters.
Alright, if sipping on fancy cocktails isn’t your thing while hanging out in a dive bar, no worries, DeVille is well-stocked with tap and bottled beers, including $3 domestics and those you've most likely never heard of. Some servers also wander the bar selling cans of your favorite beers, often times selling the whole six-pack.
Once the party has arrived, walk over the second room and enjoy a simple game of pool. Or walk past the red-felted table and lounge in the next room filled with random furniture you'd buy in an open market, while the DJ spins some tunes.
Courtesy of the same owners who brought you Empire Liquors and Angels & Kings, Bar DeVille is the quintessential local hang out. Cheap beers, fancy cocktails and a laid-back atmosphere give this West Town dive bar a stamp of approval as one of the few go-to, after-work hangs in the city.
