Attached to the popular Uncle Fatty's Rum Resort, this Lakeview lounge attracts a more laid-back crowd than its sister bar. Unlike Uncle Fatty's tiki decor and rum-based tipples, Coach House keeps it simple with an understated atmosphere and unexpected drink menu.
Dark-finished high-tops and an oval shaped bar provide plenty of space for grown-up board games like X-rated Jenga (first one to break face downs three shots). Flat-screen TVs slung throughout the room are always tuned to the game and Sundays are, of course, devoted to the Bears.
Coach House is, naturally, focused on the booze. A list of more than 12 martinis offers sugar-infused selections like the S’mores with Godiva dark chocolate liqueur and the PB n' J with vodka, chambord, Frangelico and strawberry puree, drizzled with peanut butter sauce. Coach House also has a list of domestic and imported beers, in addition to a limited selection of wines. When you're looking for something to soak up all that alcohol, you'll have to stop in on a sports-fueled Sunday. Whenever the Bears play, Coach House offers an all-day free buffet (catered by various local companies) to its loyal patrons. Another Sunday bonus is the bar's free Wi-Fi. They've even got plans to set up laptop stations in the near future for all you fantasy football junkies.
