Small, intimate and friendly as can be, this bar makes you feel like you're at an apartment party thrown by Marty himself. And this Marty is one classy guy: The place is filled with rich colors, brass mirrors and deep mahogany trim, and engulfed by a
huge bar (it seriously takes up the majority of the room). In true party style, there's not much space for the taking—as evidenced by the waiter moving from the bar to the tables, balancing his tray through the beyond-narrow room (if you don't have a seat, you definitely have to push yourself against the wall to get out of his way).
What Marty's lacks in space, it makes up for in service. The positive, accommodating staff will gladly help you with find a drink, a seat or a place to hang your coat. But what they do best is mix fabulous drinks. Twelve martinis grace the menu, including an indulgent chocolate option and the fruitier Godfather blend (Grand Marnier, amaretto and vodka). Wine lovers can share a bottle with a friend ($19-$52) or sample one by the glass ($5-$10). There's also a small, seemingly unused beer selection. Savor each sip in Marty's refreshing environment.
