It is a Chicagoan's duty to know about Frank Lloyd Wright, the architect whose Prairie style has inspired so much design in our fair city. The Robie House, considered by many to be Wright's ultimate feat, can be found just south of downtown Chicago, on the University of Chicago's campus in Hyde Park.

This national landmark, heavily influenced by Wright's exposure to Japanese aesthetics and design, helped to move popular tastes from ornate Victorian to modernist sleek. Learn more about Wright through one of the many daily tours offered at the Robie House. The best deal is with the "younger" docents: on the second Saturday of each month, specially trained 5th through 10th grade students (aka Junior Architecture Tour Guides) lead tours for a mere $4.
